Press Conference for The Next Titan Season Two




 Igniting the entrepreneurial spirit of young people is vital in addressing the growing number of young unemployed graduates; and this is a clear step that companies, businesses, and other organizations can take by helping young people getting started in business.

On behalf of our sponsors and partners, we welcome you all, and are delighted to introduce the Season Two of THE NEXT TITAN, a proudly Nigerian Entrepreneurial Reality Show designed to provoke the entrepreneurial spirit of young Nigerians.

The Next Titan is proudly Nigeria’s entrepreneurial Reality TV Show where thousands of contestants pitch their business ideas through Auditions at different zones in Nigeria; and the Top 16 contestants with brightest ideas are shortlisted to live together, and to compete by carrying out weekly business tasks and challenges around the city of Lagos for 10 weeks on television, and with weekly evictions in the boardroom by the judges.

Season One was highly intriguing with 10 weeks of wits, nerves, education, suspense and fun by arguably 16 of the most dogged young aspiring-entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Iroghama Ogbeifun from Port-Harcourt Zone emerged the winner, and she went home with Five Million Naira and a brand new Ford Focus Car plus mentorship from some of Nigeria’s business leaders. Today, Iro Ogbeifun is the CEO of Hairven Ltd (A multi hair care products company) in Lagos and Port Harcourt, and has created jobs for over 15 people.

Season Two promises to be bigger and more exciting; and Auditions will hold in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt; and with a lot of exciting Pre-show activities.

Season Two also promises more prizes asides from the grand prize of Five Million Naira and a brand new BriscoeFord Car, two of the Top 16 will be the beneficiaries of Ten Million Naira EntreFund and business incubation for 2 years by Quick Fix Ltd, a facilities management company in Nigeria.

The Show is designed to sharpen and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in young Nigerians, and also packaged to support ground breaking initiatives that can open new economic avenues, leading to social development.  It represents opportunity, inspiration and more importantly recognises ordinary Nigerians that have determination, gusto and a ‘can-do’ attitude with some of the best business ideas”.

The show not only celebrates some of the nation’s best entrepreneurial ideas but also makes an attempt to provide a launch-pad to the most deserving of Nigeria’s budding entrepreneurs where people with ideas would dare to bid for their dreams and ideas. It is also telling the young unemployed graduates to take their destinies in their hands. The reality show is a global standard television platform aimed at practically engineering entrepreneurship among Nigerian youths through identifying the best business minds and supporting their entrepreneurial acumen through logistical assistance, informal training, knowledge and other requisite services needed to propel them into successful business personalities

Call for entries for the Season Two is already in progress which is admitted through free registrations from young Nigerians and who will pass through auditions in order to search for the best business minds and ideas.

Sixteen top contestants will have very real street smarts in order to make it through the challenges, and the contestants will prove their entrepreneurial flair through various businesses challenges in the 10-week show, but the effects of educating and involving Nigeria’s budding entrepreneurs who are watching the show will hopefully be far reaching.

The show will bring the reality of pains and gains of entrepreneurial journey into the living rooms of millions of Nigerians, and viewers will be given opportunity to vote for whom they believe has the composite of a successful entrepreneur.

Each week, tasks will incorporate various aspects of business: sales, marketing, promotions, charities, advertising pitches and others.

The judges of the show are top Nigerian business leaders such as Kyari Bukar, Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group; Tonye Cole, CEO, Sahara Group; and other captains of industries. They will take advantage of their positions as judges to mentor the contestants and millions of viewers. The mentorship aspect of the show will also entail the visiting of other young successful entrepreneurs to the house of the contestants on weekly basis.

The series will see the contestants compete in teams in various task and challenges as they learn more about all the different aspects of owning and running their own businesses. The contestants will also experience the importance of philanthropy and community service by initiating such campaigns on the show.

The show is designed as entertainment and will be delivered through an exciting entertainment vehicle but its primary purpose is to change the mind-set of the people and by awakening the entrepreneurial spirits of audacity and creativity of young Nigerians thereby accepting responsibility of being masters of their own destiny.
